Winchester and Havant Councils needs to reinstate Newlands walk and Sickle Way Parks for local children and families who need and miss them. Residents living in the new development, as well as areas surrounding it, met and socialised with new friends and neighbours here, helping to build a cohesive community. We have been without them for over a year now. We need these community facilities back. They were a condition of planning. Funded by Section 106 monies for those residents who bought their homes, not least due to these recreation provisions. Please repair and reinstate them, fit for purpose and immediately, so children and families can use them for the start of the summer holidays. Residents of the MDA pay a lot of new council tax revenue. We fairly expect and want our parks back now.
