🙋♀️ To all employees:

🤝 To all supporters:

💬 Message to Okada Manila:
We can earn money again, but the life and welfare of your employees—once lost—are gone forever.
Which will you choose: Money or Life?
Should we call on Mr. Kazuo Okada for help? Perhaps it’s time to bring him back—after all, he’s been handing out ¥100 million (approx. $890,000) to strangers. Source
📩 Open Letter to Okada Manila Management:
This letter speaks on behalf of the 10,000+ employees of Okada Manila—from part-time and contractual workers to regular staff.
The company, originally established by Mr. Kazuo Okada, is now managed by Tiger Resort Asia Limited (TRAL), under the leadership of Manuel Lazaro, Antonio Cojuangco, Kenji Sugiyama, Reynaldo David, and Yoshinao Negishi.
First and foremost, thank you for your contributions through the Okada Foundation—with over PHP 280 million donated for relief goods and PPEs. We also appreciate Mr. Takashi Oya’s encouraging message that jobs will be waiting for us after these hard times.
However, while donations to the public are commendable, what about us—Okada Manila’s team members?
We, too, are part of this community and need your care and support.
😔 Current Concerns:
The company lost significant revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we understand this. But while business is important, so is valuing the people who drive it.
Okada Manila has been closed since March 2020—over three months now. We appreciate your efforts, including:
Filing for DOLE CAMP assistance (denied due to insufficient government funds).
Filing for SSS SBWS (denied as Okada is classified as a large taxpayer).
Using paid leave credits (current and future) to ensure continued salaries.
Early release of the 13th month pay.
However, as of May 15, 2020, if lockdowns continue, we will be on a No Work, No Pay basis—leaving many of us in a dire situation.
Not everyone has savings to get through this. Many employees live paycheck to paycheck, supporting families who depend on them.
🤷♀️ If Other Casinos Can, Why Can’t We?
Solaire Resort & Casino (Bloomberry Resorts): Released 13th and 14th month pay, continued full salary during ECQ.
City of Dreams Manila (Melco Resorts & SM Investments): Granted 100% monthly pay to non-management during ECQ.
They demonstrated malasakit—genuine care—for their employees. What about Okada Manila?
Your motto is "Play Your Part."
So how exactly are we playing our part for our people?
✊ Our Stand:
We are not fighting for chaos—we are fighting for compassion.
Support us in calling for better treatment, support, and fairness for all Okada Manila employees.
