As a student at Ohio university who lives off campus I am very upset that president Nellis has only decided to give partial reimbursements to people who pay for housing and dining at Ohio University. 
Many of us have been effected negatively through all of this and will have an extremely hard time transitioning to online schooling with our various majors and classes. As an art major I can attest that the switch to online classes is not ideal in the least for any of my classes. You can’t exactly make studio art without a studio. In our tuition we pay for the things that we will be using in studio classes and now we are no longer using them. 
We did not pay for online courses which would’ve been significantly cheaper than taking in person classes. Some students also have a much harder time with online courses as is proven that most students learn better in person.
Many students are now without jobs due to the university being closed and everyone urged to stay away from campus. There are students who have to pay their own tuition who may not be able to do so now, there are many students who can no longer afford to attend Ohio university. With the amount of strain this has put on us students and our families, I and many others feel as though we all deserve more than just a partial dining and housing refund, we all deserve a partial tuition refund too. 

Please consider signing this petition in hopes that we could all be partially reimbursed for our tuition. I believe that we hold the power as the students and parents to make this change.
