Gailhead development and Leeward energy have proposed solar farms in Cass and Washington township's of Hancock county. The solar farms will be Border Basin solar and South Branch solar farm. Both are 1000's of acres and will drastically change our community. We have been zoned Agriculture and not for utility scale energy. This is a unwise use of our land. Property values, tempatures, wildlife, soil, and our community will be hurt by this.
