Stop the banning of Exotic Animals and Breed Specific Legislations in Ohio

The Issue

We are pro owners to domestic and exotic animals.  We would like to see more laws like Florida has.  We do not feel that a ban is necessary and it is a knee jerk reaction to the Zanesville incident here in Ohio.  Many exotic animals would be displaced and murdered.  Only grandfathering the animals in for two years.  No other state but Ohio has ever grandfathered animals in for only two years.  We also feel that Breed Specific Legislation is wrong on so many counts.  A breed should not be discriminated against.  Whether it be a Pitt Bull or a Chihuahua.  In many counties in Ohio the Pitt Bull has already been banned.  In the rest of the counties they have ridiculous laws that apply to owning the Pitt Bull.  . Why are there members of Humane Society of the United States A.K.A. HSUS and PETA on this task force committee in Ohio on the exotic animal ban? When George Bush has clearly said that Animal Rights groups are the number one domestic terrorist. Many states are under attack by animal rights groups. So many bans are trying to be put into place like the exotic animal ban and Breed Specific Legislation also known as BSL in many states that it is repulsive. Many people do not realize that there is a difference between animal welfare which is for the ethical treatment of animals and Animal rights which believes your animal is a slave to you and is better off dead than in your care. When American citizens have not done anything wrong who gives you the right to walk all over people's constitutional rights. You are messing with what our forefathers put in play. The 4th, 5th, and 14th constitutional rights you are playing with. You are going to turn people into one day being law abiding citizens and the next turn them into a criminal.  We do not feel that bans are necessary by any means.
