My name is Jamison Parker, I have been in foster care since 2013. I am turning seventeen years old in August, my life has been nothing but moving and changes. The licking county foster care system has put me through traumatic events, such as being abused physically and emotionally by social workers and foster parents. Due to the foster care system I have developed mental illnesses, staying in the foster system will not make my situation better but completely worse. I need a permanent placement I have plans in place those plans were not even considered by licking county. I am tired of not having love, I am tired of not having respect as a human being, I am tired of not having a voice. I want to take licking county job and family services to court for a lawsuit of emotional distress to have my voice heard and to motivate other foster children to speak up. Foster children are human and we have the right to speak up for ourselves. I want the option to speak to a judge to be emancipated or to be placed with a friend until I turn eighteen. Licking county job and family services has repeatedly failed to find a stable home for me. I will not stop fighting until something is done about the cruelty in the foster care system.
