URGENT ACTION:  Your help is needed to stop 5G deployment in Ohio.  Telecom executives have admitted they have no scientific evidence that 5G is safe. 

BACKGROUND:  5G requires the densification of both 4G and 5G small cell technology.  As a result of the passage of local ordinances and Ohio House Bill 478 (HB478), powerful 4G and 5G small cell technology is being installed in close proximity to homes, schools, hospitals, and businesses throughout the State of Ohio without first conducting adequate safety testing. 

There are several petitions from American and international communities, as well as doctors and scientists asking for a moratorium on this extreme density 4G and 5G rollout.  Thousands of doctors, scientists and health care providers worldwide have issued appeals for urgent action to protect public health.  The rapidly growing list includes the International EMF Scientist Appeal, Appeal to the European Union, Belgium Doctors Appeal, Canadian Doctors, Cyprus Medical Association, Physicians of Turin, Italy, the German Doctors Appeal, International Appeal to Stop 5G on Earth and Space and the International Society of Doctors for the Environment.

The 4G and 5G densification plan will lead to a significant increase of involuntary exposure to wireless radiation everywhere.  New wireless antennas are rapidly being attached to buildings, streetlights and utility poles.  Free-standing 4G and 5G small cell monopoles are also being installed. 

A robust body of peer-reviewed, independent scientific research has found that exposure to radio-frequency (RF) microwave radiation, more colloquially known as wireless radiation, is linked to adverse biological impacts including neurological problems, reproductive health problems, and even cancer.

In 2011, the World Health Organization classified wireless radiation as a group “2B” carcinogen, putting it in the same category as lead and diesel exhaust. More recently, the U.S. National Toxicology Program completed a $30 million-dollar, 10-year study that concluded “clear evidence” of cancer associated with exposure to wireless radiation.  

To this day, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has maintained its outdated and insufficient human wireless radiation safety guidelines, ignoring the ever-growing scientific evidence suggesting harm. Just earlier this month, the FCC ruled to maintain its outdated and insufficient human wireless radiation exposure guidelines established over 23 years ago.

It’s time we put our foot down, hold our elected officials accountable, and not put company profits ahead of the well-being of the American public. 4G and 5G enabled wireless antennas must not be deployed near our homes, schools, hospitals and businesses until such time as it can be made safe, and proven safe, for everyone.
