The family of Jackie Lunn is pleading for your help to protest the parole of his murderer. Please help!
The killing was the culmination of years of abuse and harassment towards the family. Police had been called to the home 11 times previously. But in the early morning hours of October 3rd, 1990, the violence arrived like a nightmare out of the predawn darkness. Allen Crawford first kicked open the front door of the the house. Jackie's mother Joyce was shot first. The 12 gauge slug hit her in the back and burst out the front of her upper torso. Knocked to the floor by the impact, Joyce screamed for her son to get help. Allen Crawford then moved to Jackie's room and forced open the door. Jack grabbed a baseball bat for protection but Crawford shot him in the chest. Joyce desperately dragged herself to the entrance of the bedroom. Jackie gasped "I'm dead" as he fell to the floor - his eyes locked on his bloodied, horrified mother. Jackie's life ended that tragic day before it even had a chance to start. At 16, Jack was a junior at Austintown Fitch with his whole life ahead of him.
Please help us keep his murderer behind bars. The cold blooded, heinous nature of the murder of Jack Lunn, the multiple crimes committed and past history of violence against the family should preclude any consideration of parole for Allen Crawford. His actions have shown that he is extremely volatile and that he has no regard for human life. For his heinous crimes Crawford was sentenced to 23 years to Life in prison but he sentenced the family and friends of Jackie Lunn to a lifetime of grief and sorrow with NO parole.
