Magnus admitted to and pleaded guilty to raping Niamh Ni Dhomnhnaill 

He walked away from a Dublin court yesterday after being handed a seven year suspended sentence.

The Rape Crisis Network of Ireland have urged the DPP to appeal his sentence saying:

“The victim impact statement made the impact of the crimes clear and it’s difficult to see then that there is no jail term whatsoever.

“The impact on the survivor really must to be taken into account.”

Niamh herself waived her anonymity to let people know about this man's crime.

As a victim, she received no justice from the courts in Ireland, and has been on national radio asking why this man was allowed to walk back into his life and his job. 

The DPP need to appeal this sentence immediately.
