I would request everyone to support that  Navi Mumbai Airport be named as Di Ba Patil International Airport. Navi Mumbai was set up in 1970 on CIDCO farmer’s land. But Mr. Patil brought all the farmers together in their fields and gave them fair rates for their farm lands. In 1984, 5 farmers died in the agitation but in the end, they succeeded. And provided 12.50% land for project-affected people and CIDCO alloted 40 sq. ft. Meter land per lease farmers and other workers. This brought justice to the farmers and other workers in Navi Mumbai.Di. Ba. Patil led the Navi Mumbai CIDCO and JNPT (Nhava Sheva Bunder) project affected people. He spent his whole life for the farmers and laborers. He was beaten by the police and imprisoned. There were thousands, millions of activists who responded to the call of this simple-minded, high-minded leader. The demand from PAP(Project Affected People) is from year 2008 to name Navi Mumbai Airport after his name as an honour. it will be great tribute to unsung legend and true patriotic hero who worked selflessly till the last breath of his life.
