On January 1st 2022 just after midnight Olivia Rose Passaretti, my 17 year old child was driving home on 95 South in Warwick, from her eldest sisters house just 10 minutes away. Olivia unsuspectingly would be part of a career criminals plot to take his  "benz and ef things up" (as he stated on his Social Media posts that night).   

If this criminal said on social media that he was going to use a knife, a gun, a bomb etc. there would be no question of this murder. His car was the weapon that killed my child. There should be no question.  He was out to destroy a life and the life he destroyed was my child's.  Two witnesses saw this criminal, Aramis Segura take his car from the high speed lane where he was driving at speeds up to 100 mph and change lanes to run his car into Olivia's where he forced her into a spin, down an embankment to hit a tree and flip over onto its roof where she would then be left to die.  Segura fled the scene on foot where he would run 8 miles to East Greenwich to call his girlfriend to pick him up and then hide under her bed until police apprehended him. He never checked on my child!  The fact was that he didn't care because he did what he set out to do and he fled the scene!

This criminal has a lengthy history with violent felonies carried through his whole life.  He slipped through the system his whole life. He should not have been driving on the road that night and my daughter should not be dead! She should have felt safe on that road. We feel this system has failed Olivia.  We want the system to now change things and bring Justice for her now! We demand that this criminal be prosecuted to the highest extent of the law! He is a murderer and feel that he be charged with Depraved Heart Murder which is classified as 2nd degree murder. We implore this of the RI Judicial system to bring this justice for my child.  We will never see Olivia again. We will never hear her voice again. Our family will never be the same. This criminal should never be let out of jail to live his life again and have the ability to kill another and destroy another family!
