The Durant City Pound is outdated, unsanitary, and no longer meets the demands of our growing city. On March 30, 2021 it was put to a vote to build a state of the art facility and the majority of our city leaders were against building this facility. The citizens of Durant do not accept this decision. It is our taxpayer dollars that would build this facility and we should be heard regarding this topic. We ask that the city leaders overturn their decision and approve this measure and build the facility. To say no is just another form of animal cruelty given the current situation. Our city is better than this!
