The owners of 48 Willow St are trying to override the Town's Denial to build on Wetlands. They are not planning on joining our community, but trying to making a quick sale. Save the wetlands! The owners are claiming they weren't aware the property was situated on wetlands when they purchased it and prevents them from building- yet it was classified as wetlands back in the 1970's. Lack of the law doesn't allow one to override the Wetland Law that prohibits building on it. Flooding with increase and traffic will become more burdensome due to the very narrow road. Our open space is being destroyed as it is. Don't allow for space, that is required by Town Law to be preserved, to be eliminated. It can't be replaced. It will be gone forever! Certain animals rely on these wetlands for survival. This is a sensitive ecological area that many animals depend on. The esthetic value alone is priceless.
