Darren Goddard was found guilty of 15 counts relating to sexual assault, rape of minors as well as being in possession of child pornography (over 200,000 images).  Goddard was released on his existing bail of R10,000

We have received reports that Darren is still interacting with young children in the cycling fraternity in Durban and feel that since he has already been convicted of several sexual offences against minors, he should not be allowed to walk among our children freely.  
The state prosecutor failed in her duty to protect minors and should have opposed the release of the convicted serial child sex offender as soon as the judge granted the order, more so she should have requested that his bail be revoked after the first sentencing postponement. 
The sentencing has now been postponed a 3rd time to January of 2023, the 6th year since the start of the trial in 2017.
