Oceanity Marine Life Protection - Help Save our Oceans
The issue
Hi, we're Oceanity. A non-for-profit organisation that helps our precious marine life achieve the life that they deserve.
At least 720,000 seabirds, 300,000 cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises), 345,000 seals and sealions, tens of millions of sharks and over 250,000 turtles die after being caught in fisheries around the world annually - and that’s only the start. Thousands of marine animals are suffering in climate change, pollution and overfishing, endangering many species. Would you like this to continue?
Climate change:
The global temperature has rose significantly throughout the years due to the massive amount of greenhouse gases that us humans produce. Countless ocean animals and coral reefs have suffered and died because of this devastation, and this is because of us. We are the centre of this problem.
Ocean Pollution:
Ocean pollution is a massive problem in our world, harming marine life, making them choke and strangling them. Millions of plastic rubbish end up in the ocean every year, making countless creatures suffer and die. We have found dead and dying animals washed up on the sea shore, helpless. We need to put an end to this.
Overfishing
Overfishing is one of the most significant sea creature population enemies. It harms entire ecosystems and has killed trillions of fish. Almost 90% of the entire world’s fish are overfished. Why are we even doing this? We need to take action now.
We can help save this oceanic paradise if you help take action. Please sign this petition to show you care about our precious marine life.
