Dear OTHS faculty and students,

I got inspired by another person from another school explaining how Spring Break should be moved closer to the end of the school year. The person explained that if it was moved closer to the end of the school year, we would be able to get more work done rather than having Spring Break PLUS no school and not being able to go out. Their point was that COVID-19 is preventing us from going out anyway, so if Spring Break was moved closer to the end of the school year, it would just make it easier for all of us since we can get out of school early and we don’t have to have a break DURING the school year while we’re doing work at home. Their remark was very smart in my opinion because I feel as if we can get all of our lessons and work out of the way rather than having Spring Break and not even being able to go out with holding all of the new lessons until after Spring Break. They also made a very good point that if we have Spring Break during this outbreak and school year, we will be stuck in our houses with nothing to do. Therefore, it would be fair if Spring Break was held until the end of the school year to let us get out of school earlier. Please sign this petition if you agree with this!
