1000 Kraemer Place is a poor location for a permanent, 24-7, 200-bed homeless shelter. It is a hidden cul-de-sac in a business park that is far from services the homeless need. It will have a negative impact on businesses who have had no input on this location. it will negatively impact residents of nearby neighborhoods, who have also had no input. We want the County to work with neighboring residents and businesses to find a better location for this shelter. County government belongs to all of us, and it to involve affected residents and business in this serious decision instead of trying to sneak it in and then engage us after the fact. 

The County owes us a serious, transparent dialogue with nearby residents and businesses, and work with concerned stakeholders to find a more appropriate location.
