There has been a planning application made to change 188 Walsall Wood Road to become a day nursery for 37 children (24/0077).  Whilst I appreciate this nursery may be useful for some residents of Aldridge we have a huge concern over the parking provided for the proposal.  Due to already having major parking problems from the Lazy Hill Pub's expansion and their breach of planning terms (reported back in 2022 with no response from the Council). The excessive cars are affecting our residential tenants who are regularly blocked in by inconsiderate parking, and our commercial tenants are affected by customers being unable to park nearby.  Ourselves as a Landlord and our tenants pay for all repairs to this car park and we are having to seriously consider the use of parking cameras to lock the parking down for customers only, which is something we really don’t want to do.  I know that a number of residents have also experienced problems with inconsiderate parking or issues accessing the shops and I would encourage them to object.
