Object to the Proposed Change Land Use, situated along Kandara Road, Kileleshwa

The Issue

Dear Residents of Kileleshwa, Nairobi City County,

We are reaching out to you as concerned members of our community, united in addressing a critical issue that threatens the essence of our cherished neighbourhood. The proposed alteration of land use within Land Parcel No. Nairobi/Block 21/161 along Kandara Road has sparked profound unease among us.

At the heart of our concerns lies the potential transformation of our residential haven into an overcrowded, chaotic zone. This impending shift jeopardises the tranquillity we hold dear, substituting it with the discord of ill-suited developments. This is in response to the advertisement in the Daily Nation on February 13th, 2024 (page 33), which notified us of this proposed change under Reg. No. 0254. It's worth noting that while the proposed change suggests commercial usage, there's been additional promotion for "Lofty Creek Residency Kileleshwa" high-rise apartments, an incongruous addition to our community. Such endeavours only serve to exacerbate over development, burdening our infrastructure and exacerbating environmental woes.

We stand resolutely opposed to the conversion from Residential Single Dwelling to Commercial Use, as well as the construction of illegal high-rise apartments that defy zoning regulations in this area.

In this collective endeavour, we urge all residents and sympathisers to stand alongside us by formally expressing objections against this proposed alteration in land use. Your signature is not merely a formality; it wields the power to safeguard the peace and harmony of our neighbourhood. Together, let us shield our community from the encroachment of commercialisation.

We implore you to join us in signing this petition today.
