Object to the Planning Application for a 22-bed HMO in Shaw

Object to the Planning Application for a 22-bed HMO in Shaw
The Issue
As a local community member who has treasured the tranquil serenity surrounding our local war memorial and gardens, I am deeply concerned about the proposed Housing Multiple Occupation (HMO) at the former Crompton health centre. This centre, an integral part of our community, is under threat of becoming a 22-bed HMO. Alarmingly enough, the proposed setup presents tiny rooms, some even without proper light or ventilation.
It's devastating to imagine such a detrimental transformation in a place we hold so dear. What's more, evidence shows that HMOs can potentially result in increased noise and disturbance, negatively impacting local residents' quality of life (Source: Residential Analysts, 2017).
Furthermore, figures suggest HMOs tend to have higher reports of antisocial behaviour, consequently affecting community cohesion (Source: UK Cities Monitor, 2018). The proposed location of this HMO has a deeply symbolic significance to our community, facing the war memorial and gardens - it's a poignant site of remembrance and respect. The potential disruption this could cause is unacceptable.
Our strength lies in our unity, so I urgently call upon your support to object to the planning application for the HMO at the former Crompton Health Centre. Stand up for our community, for our local peace and tranquillity. Please sign this petition to raise your objection.
