Object to planning application 26/0102/COU for HMO at 25 Upper High Street

Object to planning application 26/0102/COU for HMO at 25 Upper High Street
The Issue
The proposed HMO at 25 Upper High Street in Rhymney is set to adversely affect our community. As a member of this neighbourhood, my primary concern is the welfare of our children, the elderly and generally every member in the area. The proposed HMO's location is alarmingly close to a primary school, and we're already witnessing strained services like the police and doctor's surgeries struggling to cope with current demands.
Parking in our already busy high street will become an even greater challenge. The introduction of more residents without adequate parking provision will exacerbate traffic congestion and could potentially pose safety risks, especially for the young children attending the nearby school.
Moreover, with an increase in occupancy, there is often a corresponding rise in anti-social behaviour. This not only threatens the quality of life for residents but could also undermine the safety and security of our beloved community.
Rhymney has already reached a saturation point with Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs). This proliferation only serves to destabilize the character of our neighbourhood. It’s crucial for the well-being and future of our community that we maintain a balance that respects the needs of current residents while considering future developments responsibly.
It is time for us to speak up and express our concerns to the local planning authorities. We must ensure that our voices are heard in opposition to this planning application. Please join me in protecting the integrity of our community by signing this petition to stop the proposed HMO at 25 Upper High Street.
