Object the Wonford Inn redevelopment

The Issue

In 2023 the Wonford Inn, a historic local pub, was bought by developers.

A recent planning application has revealed that they aim to demolish the existing building and create a block of 16 flats. This is planned to tower 3 stories high, which will be much higher than the neighboring residential buildings.

Plans fill the footprint of the carpark and preexisting building and impose considerably on the local neighborhood. There is no allowance for parking or consideration of how sewerage will be dealt with. This could result in an additional 16 vehicles or more on the already overcrowded local street.

Please sign this petition in support of local residents, who will detrimentally be effected by such an extreme construction that is not in keeping with the local area.

Details of the proposal can be found and commented on online: https://publicaccess.exeter.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=S9ZJBWHBMI500&activeTab=summary

Please do make a comment if you feel able.
