I would like American Sign Language to be taught at OTHS. Learning ASL gives students a chance to connect with the deaf community all over the USA. And it’s a proven fact that there are more deaf people here in the United States than there are Spanish, German, or French people. And it provides as a helping factor in getting a job anywhere because lots of deaf people struggle communicating with the hearing community everyday of their lives. American Sign Language is one of the only ways that deaf people can communicate with others.
