All, I wanted to make you aware of the changes we were able to enact to the Shady Creek Development through your support. The final plan was altered in cooperation with the local residents, Lombardo Homes St Louis, and the City Council (Rick Battelle & John Haman) and Mayor Bill Hennessy. The Changes for the better are outlined below: - The final plan moved Lake St Louis Blvd further to the west and off the property lines of the residents of Briarchase and Preston Woods. - Curtis Ln, which was only ever supposed to be a temporary road, will be taken out of service and turned into a bike/walk/run path which will connect to Preston Woods, Briarchase, and the future Shady Creek Development. - The trees along Curtis Ln will be left standing and the area between Curtis Ln and the extension of Lake St Louis Blvd will be landscaped with new trees and shrubs. - A stop light will be put in on Hwy N where it meets Lake St Louis Blvd resulting in safer traffic conditions at that intersection and turn lanes will be added to Hwy N to accommodate the increase in traffic. - A roundabout will be placed where the LSL Blvd extension will meet with the existing Paul Renaud Blvd and the future extension of Paul Renaud through Shady Creek to Wyndgate. This will work to slow traffic coming into and out of all three neighborhoods. While we did not get everything we would have liked, (change in the commercial zoning and some more updates to Hwy N), we did accomplish quite a lot and I would like to personally thank all involved including Mr. & Mrs. Groves, Mr. Pulliam, Mr. & Mrs. Fensterman, the City of O'Fallon, Councilman Rick Battelle, Councilman John Haman, Mayor Bill Hennessy, Skip Stone from Lombardo Homes, and Keith Hazelwood, attorney representing Lombardo. Thanks again for all your help and support. Josh Major
