Thank you for your continued support. The O'Fallon City Council meeting is tonight at 7:30pm at the O'Fallon City Hall. The agenda for tonight's meeting can be found at http://www.ofallon.mo.us/meeting-agendas. We hope to see you there and hear from each and every one of you regarding your opinions and feelings about the proposed development. We had an excellent turnout at last week’s informational session with Lombardo and we hope to see the same amount of people, if not more this evening.
Yesterday I received the following email from Skip Stone with Lombardo, in it they appear to have made a few concessions:
As you certainly recall from the meeting last week, I agreed to look at our plan and determine if we could move the road to the west from its original planned location. The attached exhibit shows moving the pavement to the west 15’ from the previous location. Some items to point out about the new plan:
1. As mentioned above, the pavement itself has been moved 15’ to the west. This puts the eastern edge of the pavement approximately 45’ from the rear lot line of the Preston Woods lots. It would put the western edge of the pavement approximately 35’ from the rear of our proposed lots.
2. We are proposing to leave a 10’ portion of what is now Curtis Lane in place for use as a multi-use trail.
3. The existing trees that are planted along Curtis Lane now will remain.
4. We will add another set of landscaping between the multi use trail and the pavement.
5. We have added a center island to the LSL Blvd extension.
The proposal Image can be found here: http://www.tiikoni.com/tis/view/?id=d40fd23
The concessions by Lombardo still do not address the frontage property on Hwy N being re-zoned commercial or any traffic issues through the neighborhoods caused by the extension of LSL Blvd or the connection of Paul Renaud between Preston Woods and Wyndgate. Also, there is no mention of any upgrades to or signals on Hwy N. If you have issues with these items or any other, I implore you to attend tonight's meeting and let your voice be heard by the City Council.
Please feel free to forward to this message to your friends, family, and neighbors in the area.
Thanks
Josh
