Dear Supporters, First off, thank you again for signing this petition and continuing to spread the word. Thanks to your efforts, in just 3 short days, we have been able to collect 284 signatures as of 7AM this morning. IMPORTANT: There were two new developments in our cause late yesterday that I wanted to make you aware of, and both appear to favor our effort. 1.) I received a letter from the city clerk as well as from Mr. Keith Hazelwood, whom is the general counsel representing Lombardo homes. Both letters state that Lombardo as well as Councilman Haman plan to table the first reading of this proposal at tonight's (9/11) O'Fallon city council meeting and ask that it held over to the city council meeting on 9/25/14. This means that instead of Lombardo presenting tonight, they will present the plan on the 25th for discussion. This matter, since it is already on tonight's agenda, will still be open for public hearing comments and you are still encouraged to attend to show support, however, if you must choose, due to other obligations, which meeting to attend, the one on September 25th at 7:30pm is far more important. 2.) Lombardo Homes and city representatives have set up a meeting with area residents and interested parties on September 18th, 2014 at 7:00pm at the Community Room located in the Cuivre River Electric Coop facility on Highway N near Briarchase (8757 State Hwy N, Lake St Louis, MO). I strongly encourage you to attend this meeting as it may be our only opportunity for open dialog directly with Lombardo Homes. Please post this update to your social media pages, please share this update with your friends, family, and your neighbors, and most of all, please try to attend the meeting with Lombardo Homes on 9/18 and the City Council meeting on 9/25.
