The Landing Lights Park is where many Jackson Heights/North Queens residents bring their dogs to play and socialize, but it's not officially a dog run. The owners are respectful of the neighborhood and clean up after their dogs. This is the only non-asphalt fenced-in area for dogs in a 5 mile radius, yet it is still not officially recognized as a NYC Parks Dept Dog Run. Parks employees often threaten owners with fines for off-lease dogs.
