New York is one of the most visited cities in the world.  Yet, it is also one of the world’s dirtiest.  It’s about time to remove trash and litter from our streets and sidewalks.  It's about time to show the tourists, as well as ourselves, that we can make the town clean.  Other cities of similar size can be clean, so why can’t we?  It may take months or even years to completely transform our street for the better, but it's worth it.  A world class city should find ways to deal with this kind of a challenge.  Please remove filth and dirt from our streets and sidewalks.  If this requires some reforms in the sanitation department, please make those reforms. If some additional penalties for littering can help, please establish such penalties.  The last but not the least, if this requires funding, please feel free to take some funds from some non-essential programs to help clean our streets.  Perhaps our geography, population density and other features are different from those in cities like Toronto, Antwerp or Minsk.  But I believe we can make it anyway if proper action is taken.
