Fenced dog runs would allow people to enjoy the park without having to worry about dogs running off the leash (and get tickets) while providing a safe environment for dogs to run freely without a leash.  Dog owners can interact with their dogs safely; in addition, dogs can interact with other dogs safely.  It would also eliminate a good deal of dog poo and allow children and adults to enjoy a cleaner park.  

This partition will be located on the creek side of Avenue U and will be a large, fenced-in area for bigger dogs and a separate area for smaller dogs.  Both areas would have a water source for the dogs.  Please note that this dog run will not interfere with the wildlife already inhabited at the park.  

I've been working closely with Senator Marty Golden and his associate Anthony Testaverde to make this finally happen in Marine Park.
