Demand Nvidia to Add Bot Protections to Their eCommerce Website

Demand Nvidia to Add Bot Protections to Their eCommerce Website

The Issue

This petition is to bring attention to and demand Nvidia Corporation add bot protection/human verification to their ecommerce website for the sale of GPU Graphics Cards specifically the Nvidia 3000 series of cards released on Sept 17, 2020 and Sept 24, 2020. These graphics cards were sold out within 15 seconds across the internet scalpers using scripted bots on the internet whom essentially 'stole' the entire NVidia inventory. As a result no 'real users' were able to acquire this much hyped and long awaited hardware. Some sites like Newegg claim 'bot protection' was in place but that is not true. Newegg checkout process has no bot checks or cart timers to ensure that customers are able to check out with what is in their cart before it's purchased by a bot.

Let your voice be heard. Sign this petition and send this message to NVidia today that its users want anti-bot/anti-scalpers measures put in place immediately. NVidia, please implement these measures before the sept 24, 2020 3090/3070 launch.  Please also encourage or enforce your resellers to do the same. We also demand all purchases of 1 or more cards sent to the same address, charged to the same account or credit card, be investigated, orders cancelled, or not shipped. Those orders should be cancelled. Some scalpers purchased more than 50 units using automated bots and later listed them for sale on eBay and other places for many times the original purchase price. This will continue to happen with ALL future inventories of NVidia stock as it is highly lucrative for these scalpers. NVidia's future inventory will continue to be 'stolen' in this way and blocked from getting into the hands of users who urgently want or need this hardware.

NVidia we call on you to take action TODAY.  Implement bot protection during checkout on the ecommerce site.  Implement anti-scalping measures.  Implement limit one per customer (and enforce it by checking previous orders/name/purchase method/address matching). Place a timer on the cart of a customer during checkout that guarantees they keep their cart item until they have the proper human time frame to pay for their purchase without the item being sold from under them. Ban all sales of the 3000 series cards on eBay. Contact eBay to demand trademark sales freeze of all NVidia 3000 series cards until further notice. Every listing on eBay is from a scalper. Encourage all resellers of NVidia products to also implement the measures outlined above.

Sincerely,
Your loyal customers
