Update 09/02/2024
Trial for the murder of Evan Sorour: 12-23 February 2024 in Ficksburg. Court starts at 09:00 and may continue until 16:00 each day.
Support at the court will be very welcome!
Please try to wear a khaki/green coloured shirt to show solidarity with the Sorour family.
Weapons, food and drinks are not allowed in court.
Hats/caps, the use of cellphones, and talking in court are also not allowed.
When walking into the courtroom, please remember to acknowledge the judge.

Court update 14/02/2024
Court adjourned/postponed until tomorrow due to load-shedding.
Rudi Gericke appeared in court with his advocate, Willem Edeling, and attorney Morkel Venter.
The forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy on Evan testified and was cross-examined. Rick Dell also testified and was cross-examined.
A different witness will be testifying tomorrow.
The court has been adjourned until 09:30 am (subject to changes in load shedding schedule) tomorrow, 15/02/2024, in Ficksburg.
