A massive problem with the name of the Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is that it is named after a white-given degrading term towards Nova Scotian Indigenous Peoples. This name was given in 1973!!! There has been an ENORMOUS push for racial equality and change since that time and yet the name stands. With YOUR VOICE being heard, we as a community can vote for a better, more accepting name for this very popular mall. With the great amount of change going on in the world, this is the PERFECT opportunity to unite as a community and let OUR government and the business employers that help support OUR economy know that this should be changed. We have a LONG way to go before we can call ourselves an equal society and this journey begins in small steps such as this! SPREAD THE WORD AND SHARE!
