I am a comic fan and a devout nerd/geek/weab. I love Disney movies too. Disney rarely fails to bring great works to life in the most beautiful ways possible. I love Disney, but this is gross to me. One thing I love greatly about works of fiction is the villains, and one of those villains I love and appreciate a lot happens to be Gorr the God Butcher. Like seriously? When I found out that Gorr was the next big bad in the newest Thor movie I was ecstatic, and to have Christian Bale casted as the god threatening entity was another huge plus. I was very excited to see it come to fruition how Gorr and the Necro sword would look and affect the mcu, especially since the mcu is now established as Earth-616, which is the main comic continuity. So if it’s the main continuity, which it never was until recently, why the f**k does Gorr look like a bald dude. Where’s the tentacles? The black shroud? And most of all why does he have a nose? Aii naw, long story short, Disney change that up asap please. Do something. If you want to give him a nose, give him tentacles, if you want to make him bald, take away the nose or give him an alien appearance. Give my man’s Gorr the Sonic treatment and do him right, cuz everybody saying “Oh Christian Bale looks so terrifying” when in reality he looks absolutely normal and could look even MORE terrifying had everyone stuck to the source material. This is actually rather disgusting all for the simple fact that he literally doesn’t look the slightest bit like Gorr. Borderline disrespectful and lazy in my opinion so please just do this villain right. It has come to my attention that Disney wanted to avoid Voldemort comparisons, yet he looks more like Voldemort now than he would if the original design remained. Comic Gorr is way more menacing than Voldemort too. Please, let’s bring back the peoples Gorr.
