Mangar Bani is a vital part of Aravali forests.It is considered the last existing virgin forest in Delhi-NCR. Aravalli mountain range near Mangar act as a long running corridor for wildlife between the Southern Aravalis in Rajasthan and the Delhi ridge. And is a host to vast endemic floral diversity ( Report by Forest Department).
Mangar Bani is also associated with local beliefs and folklore, as the stories go, villagers believe in the miracles of Gudariya Baba, who lived in Mangar Bani. Also it is one of the last green patch between New Delhi which act as green Lungs for the capital.

As of now Mangar Bani is just declared a "no-construction zone", and is yet to be notified as forest land. But looking at the importance of Mangar Bani, the current status won't sustain it for very long. Hence we want your support in stepping up it's current status from "No construction zone" to "Notified Forest Land".

If Mangar Bani is declared as a Forest land, this last remaining green patch can be saved from Human Encroachment and Commercial predators. Therefore it can be left for Biodiversity to thrive and as a sacred grove which is associated with feelings of local community.
