Nothing about us without us, listen to youth voices in Providence!

Support the Rhode Island Children and Adolescents Committees Bill.

We are Rhode Island students, and we clearly know one thing: we have the right to be heard. Decisions that affect our schools, our families, and our lives shouldn't be made without us.

That's why we support this bill, which proposes something revolutionary:
Children and Adolescents Committees, where young people between the ages of 10 and 18 can elect their representatives democratically and transparently.

What would this law change?
• That our opinions and voices reach decision makers directly.
• That we can help create and evaluate the policies that affect us while gaining experience
• There should be young people representing young people in every city and elected by community members.
• That our ideas not remain silent, but rather be part of the government.

Why should you sign?

Because for years it has been believed that we are incapable of speaking up for ourselves. It's time to prove them wrong. This law gives us the opportunity to achieve justice. To demand something that has never been demanded in our state. It's not just about being heard; its about having power, a voice, and a vote to transform our own lives and prepare to be leaders in the future.

Sign now if you believe it's time for new generations to have a seat at the decision-making table. If we want different results, we must re-imagine a new opportunity for change. You can be part of the change. You can help build a more just, inclusive, and democratic Rhode Island.
