Unfair conduction of online exams
Unfair conduction of online exams
The Issue
- We are students from XYZ College. Recently we have received our instructions on the code of conduction of the semester examinations in online mode, which has the following discrepancies:
1. It is mentioned that each student will get different set of questions which will be of different difficulty level. Also the weightage of the chapters will also not be the same since it is a random way of alloting questions. Is this a fair way of evaluating the students? The staffs can upload the questions based on the difficulty level and make sure that it is evenly distributed among the students and also they should make sure that the chapters are also evenly distributed, which makes it fair to evaluate.
2.It is mentioned that we will not be able to switch between the questions. What could we do if the answer for that question didn't strike at that moment. Will it be fair to do so?
3. It is also mentioned that "Any representation to the CoE office about the inability to continue/complete the exam due to poor network will not be entertained". Then what can we do when we have issues with things that are not in our control? Where can we report them?
