The week of November 29 through December 3 has been a mentally difficult and traumatic week. We have endured a Bomb Threat, Countless fights in the corridors of our schools, and lastly, a stressful and mentally tumultuous encounter on Friday for BOTH High Schools as One, had alleged shooting threats and attempt at execution, while the other had a student to take ill and have the news circulate. An extra day tacked onto this weekend is well deserved for all. Teachers taught, students worked, and pressed through, and we believe we deserve the extra rest, and recovery from the events that took place. Many were traumatized, others were in shock, and many were simply in distress all week long by event after event, and issue after issue plaguing our educational experiences. Norwalk Public Schools Administration, hear and grant our request for this time, and allow us to retrieve a bit of our sanity before returning to the building.
