Northumbria University has recently updated assessment regulations which do not offer adequate support for students who have been repeatedly ignored during the pandemic. We are pushing for a safety net which ensures every student who has had their potential limited can receive grades which are reflective of this despite the hindrance which has occurred.

We are petitioning for:

Undergraduate students will progress or achieve an award, based on an average of their best 60 credits. 
All students are eligible to re-sit an assessment, regardless of the final grade achieved. 
A lenient ‘near miss’ policy with respect to degree classification.
Direct consultation with students & student representatives regarding the development of support measures and teaching.
