Brennan high school, Luna middle school and I am sure other schools in NISD,   have been running out of school lunches. Or been serving only  carrot sticks, with dip and cheese sticks  for lunch. As a community we need to insure our kids are properly fed during school. Other states/schools allow McDonald's Taco Bell, domino's places like that to have an option for students  they sell a couple hundred lunches anything that will take pressure off the kitchens. Also they set up self service stands where you can sell ramen and have hot water, (or microwaves) sandwichs, other options like a food stand with an attendant so that again takes pressure off the kitchen.. Many larger schools across our country have solved these problems we just have to get Nisd to be open to other possibility.. Brennan having food trucks would be a great idea it would help build revenue for food trucks feed students. It would take a lot of pressure off the kitchen and the lunch room.  We just have to think outside of the Box.  We have horrible  food cost and packaging shortagesright now. Coupled with larger than usual class sizes at Luna and Brennan. We need to figure this out our students shouldn't be missing meals or going hungry all day... Please talk to your friends and neighbors and get them to sign this petition so that NISD takes this seriously..We need to  make sure our children have food.
