Unfortunately Halloween lands on a Thursday this year. Due to the considerable amount of students getting home at a later hour, most students will choose to stay home rather than go to school the following day. Not including the substantial quantity of student who will be tired, unfocused, and unable to contribute to a positive learning environment on Friday. Taking this into consideration, it is clear that the optimal choice is to change Friday November 1, 2019 to either a day off or a no student day and possibly adding an additional school day to the end of the year. By signing this petition we can convince Northshore School District to allow Friday November 1st off for the betterment of our school’s community.
