Dear Fellow Students, My name is Ania Nalepski, I have been a student at NEIU since fall of 2011. While I really enjoyed my first few years at NEIU, as of lately there have been some changes, what I believe are for the worst. In the last year or so, I have experienced class cancellations and now faculty changes, and to be completely honest I am bit fed up. As a majority of you, I work full time and know what a difficult task it is to pick your classes according to your work schedules, children, care of the elderly/ill, family in general...ect. After the difficult task of finally finding a class that fits your schedule, you are put through numerous faculty changes which may ultimately result in cancellation of the class. As students it is our right to put an end to this. We are what makes this university thrive. I refuse to keep quite and let this happen. You may be asking, how can one student change this? In all honestly I can't. Which is why I need your help. I have been in contact with two faculty members in charge of the decision making. I am starting a petition to put an end to these changes and also to keep Brian White on board as our teacher. I have been Brian's student since I first started at NEIU, I took his English 101 and 102 classes. He's an awesome teacher, he makes learning fun, helps guide you and inspires you to be the very best you can be. At the end of the day you may find yourself looking forward to his next class, as I do. I hope you can find the time to sign this petition and if you have a little extra time during your busy summer break I could use a few testimonies from previous students, as well as students who have had classes canceled/faculty changes.
