To alleviate traffic through the heart of Weldon a new bypass is needed from Bears Lane to Kettering Road. Traffic volumes already exceed 4 million through the village of Weldon with another 4 or 5,000 homes still to be built around its outskirts. The roads of Weldon were never designed or built to carry this much traffic and the roads are becoming ever more dangerous with the village being used as a constant rat run.
