We don't want our elderly care homes closed.

We have 2 Olympus care homes that are currently threatened with closure due to Northamptonshire County Council cuts. Each one is full of very vulnerable elderly who couldn't manage at home, many have dementia and are physically frail. To take them away from their home is not just unfair, it is cruel.
The Grange home in Daventry was closed 2 years ago and it is still laid empty and left in disrepair, many of the residents from there have now passed away when they should of been allowed to pass away in what was their home. We want our residents to stay where they planned on having their last days without the heartbreak and stress of moving at a time in their lives that should be as they wish it to be not to be farmed out like cattle. We all fall prey to old age and believe that we should be getting the care we deserve in a home of our choosing.
l work with some amazing caring staff who go the extra mile for what we feel is an extended family, we work in their home and they believe it’s theirs too. Even if NCC would meet us halfway and let us stay until the last resident passes away. We all understand the money issue but what about the human one? These people have every right to live their lives the way they wish to, thank you everyone who signs and shares on behalf of all our residents and staff.
Please sign so we can let the powers that be know that we wish to keep our homes and our residents kept the way they deserve to be.
