They are stopping the doctors out of hours service at Selby new war memorial hospital from September 1st after 5pm this means patients will have to travel to york for treatment that could be seen by out hours doctor at Selby North Yorkshire it's means patients will have to travel 15 miles away this is town that had brand new hospital built minor injuries dept been closed after 5pm families with children pensioners will have to travel to york or pontefract to see an out of hours doctor this will have massive impact on the town who has fast growing population by new developments of houses that have already being built or are in the pipeline for future housing. The public of Selby will have to travel by car or paying out for taxis and will have to call our ambulance service get to see the out hours doctor service by travelling to nearby hospitals.
