Dear supporter,
We need you, once more, to write to the council to help save the meadow and wood.
The developer has lodged new planning documents and we need you all to object to the plans no later than MONDAY, 30TH JANUARY.
Don’t worry - we have created an easy to use template with instructions on how to do this and it’s as simple as sending an e-mail!
The Wildlife Trust BCN has already sent an excellent objection to the updated ecological surveys.
We were amazed to see that the developer surveyors found Wall butterflies present, which have been extinct in Northamptonshire for 20 years, whilst somehow missing the amber-listed Grizzled and Dingy Skipper which are frequently sighted at the wood and meadow. We’ll let you make your own mind up as to the quality of the surveys!
We were also sent a wonderful short film made by Daniel Frampton - a professional documentary maker of Immanent Productions - who spent time at Weekley Hall Wood in the autumn and interviewed some of the people he found there.
It’s a beautiful film, and really brings home why we are striving to save the area from development. You can watch 'The Wood' on Vimeo here.
Thank you,
The SWHW team
