The petition is now well underway and local ward councillors are backing it, Cllr Dave Oldfield, Cllr Tony Gosling, Cllr Christine O'Sullivan and Cllr Mark Kirk have all given us their full support. The council have decided to replace the crossing patrol and the position is now being advertised on their website, although this is good news it does look like we will be without a patrol until they can recruit someone, and it's not a job for the faint hearted. I will be meeting with Rob Waltham and highways officers at the roundabout on the 25th April at 15:30 to discuss what can be done to improve the safety in the area, please feel free to attend if you want to share your thoughts with us.
