Since the closure of NL Leisure facilities due to COVID 19 restrictions North Lanarkshire Leisure have given no timescale plan or definitive indication of when facilities at Sir Matt Busby will resume. Indications are that the centre will not reopen at all. 

This facility is at the heart of a community which has lost many services over the years. It is accessed by young and old alike. This pandemic has had significant impact on the health, mental and physical well being of people across the country with an increase in mental health and suicide rates being highlighted only this week. This facility offers so much to this community not only from a health perspective but socially and economically too.

I would ask even if Sir Matt Busby facility reopening does not affect you please help us by signing this petition.

Bellshill Sharks Amateur Swimming Club therefore call on North Lanarkshire Leisure to give us a reopening date for Sir Matt Busby as a matter of priority and remove doubts for the general public on the facilities future.
