North East Lincolnshire Council are attempting to ban paramotor pilots from taking off and flying in the local area. They have successfully removed access to the majority of suitable local flying sites.

This is due to what we believe to be a small minority of local residents complaining. The paramotor pilots have offered to work with the local authority over a number of years to find a more suitable flying site and to self impose flying restrictions to minimise complaints and maintain good relations with local residents.

North East Lincolnshire Council have refused to work with these paramotor pilots, who are all local residents, to find a suitable solution and have instead taken the approach of trying to ban wherever possible.

The alleged complaints have mainly been focused around the noise of paramotors. The local pilots are asking NELC to help find a suitable take off field in return for restrictions on times and locations for flying.
