For years female theatre students at North Central High School have been going to the administration about the inappropriate behavior of Nathan Shewell, and for years they did not listen. Recently Nathan was terminated for withholding information about an incident at his previous school, the incident involved an inappropriate relationship with a female student. His behavior at North Central closely mirrors this, often making inappropriate (sexual) comments toward female students.  The administration has known about this pattern of behavior for many years and failed to do anything to hold him accountable. Multiple victims of this harassment have come forward, just to be ignored and overlooked. Though Nathan himself has been held accountable, myself as well as other victims would like to see administrative change to ensure that no victim has to ever feel unheard or ignored again. The Believe Victims policy would make sure that when harassment is reported something is required to be done to hold the perpetrator accountable. By signing this petition you are ensuring that North Central is no longer able to simply ignore reports of harassment from male figures of authority.
