North Carolina Support for Interstate Counseling Compact (HB 791)

The Issue

North Carolina’s involvement in the interstate counseling compact, or House Bill (HB) 791, is currently pending enactment. The compact will open the door to multiple possibilities for mental health care service, not only across the state, but across the country. Joining forces with other state counseling legislation will allow professionals to practice wherever the needs are, and provide quality mental health care service to a broader range of clients, regardless of their counseling licensure from a state who is apart of the compact. Support will implore local legislators to swiftly pass HB 791 and create an amazing prospect for our home state.
